Toyota announce support for the Irish Coast Guard

The Irish Coast Guard have just taken delivery of their first batch of Toyota Hilux 3.0 SR5 vehicles

This will see Toyota deliver some 25 vehicles to the Coast Guard in 2015 with more to follow in 2016.

As part of their fleet renewal program, the Irish Coast Guard have just taken delivery of their first batch of Toyota Hilux 3.0 SR5 vehicles. The Hilux has long been favoured by the Coast Guard, because of its durability, reliability and its unsurpassed off road ability.

The latest Coast Guard model comes fitted with the highest level of emergency response equipment, including satellite navigation, rear view cameras, military grade scene lighting, medical kits and stretcher storage system. The vehicles will be rolled out to Irish Coast Guard stations around Ireland over the next 24 months, to replace their present emergency response fleet.

Cathal Ryan, Fleet Sales Manager, Toyota Ireland commented, "We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Irish Coast Guard. Hilux has proven itself to be one of the most capable and durable off road vehicles available today, and because of this it is favoured as a first responder vehicle around the world. These new Coast Guard Hilux's will perform in some of Ireland's most extreme conditions, delivering a critical service, which is exactly what they're designed to do."
