Toyota Bees
A Natural Partnership
In spring 2025, we welcomed two thriving colonies of native Irish honeybees, Apis mellifera mellifera, to our Dublin home. Nestled in a specially prepared area, these bees are more than just visitors, they’re partners in our mission to establish a future society in harmony with nature.
Managed by professional beekeepers from Bee Green, the hives are monitored regularly, and staff are invited to participate in guided inspections. These sessions offer a hands-on opportunity to learn about pollination, biodiversity, and the vital role bees play in our ecosystem.
Why Bees?
Bees are essential pollinators, supporting the health of wild plants and crops alike. By hosting native honeybee colonies, we’re actively contributing to local biodiversity and helping to reverse the decline of pollinator populations in Ireland. This aligns directly with Challenge 6 of the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050: to foster a society that lives in harmony with nature by conserving and restoring ecosystems
What started as 30,000 will quickly increase to over 150,000 over the coming months.
