Our Guiding Principles

Our basic principles in management and our stance towards our stakeholders
Our Guiding Principles have long been a foundation for the way we manage our business. First drawn up when our business was started in 1937 and updated in 1997, they remain at the heart of our management philosophy.
  • A strong foundation

Since Toyota's foundation, we have acted in accordance with our Guiding Principles. They enable us to produce reliable vehicles and support the sustainable development of society through ever-changing innovation and the provision of high-quality products and services. They help us achieve and maintain sustainable development through respect, trust and responsibility in our relationships with people, cultures, nations and the environment.

  • Our Guiding Principles

    Since 1937
