Toyota Ireland launches the 14th ‘Toyota Dream Car Art Contest’

Toyota Ireland calls on young Irish artists to get their creative juices flowing and enter the Toyota Dream Car Contest

11th September 2020.
Toyota Ireland is delighted to announce that promising Irish artists can now enter submissions for the 14th annual Toyota Dream Car Art Contest for 2021. The competition encourages children, under the age of 15, to imagine what their dream car would be and then to share their vision by drawing or painting the ideal car.

Toyota’s Dream Art Car Contest is comprised of both a National contest, as well as a World Contest. With three distinct categories, under 8 years, 8-11 years and 12–15 years, budding young artists across Ireland will have the chance to compete against their age mates for not only a place at the international competition but for a variety of prizes and runner up prizes ranging in value.

The Irish competition will see a selection of finalists, awarded a range of prizes at the official awards ceremony. The winning entry will compete against international counterparts at the world competition judged in Japan in June 2021 to be in with the chance to win a prize of $5,000 for themselves and an additional $10,000 for their school.

The Dream Car Art Contest is Toyota’s unique platform that encourages imagination and creativity amongst children aged 15 and under, inspiring them to look ahead and imagine how to build a better future. Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been conducted as part of Toyota’s social contribution initiatives and in 2019 alone, there were an incredible 950,000 entries from 86 countries and regions around the globe.

The contest continues to go from strength to strength, and now with the excitement of children returning to schools across the country, it is an opportune time to showcase their creativity and talent and let their imaginations fly with unique designs.

Commenting on the announcement, Michael Gaynor, Toyota Ireland Marketing Director said, “We’re delighted to launch the 14th Annual Dream Car Art Contest.
