Toyota’s new Hybrid Nation competition encourages Corolla Hybrid, C-HR and Yaris Hybrid drivers* to win an exclusive sustainability-focused prize in return for sharing their EV percentage drive-time.
25th May 2022 – Toyota Ireland has today launched its newest, Instagram-focused competition, Toyota’s Hybrid Nation. The new competition encourages Toyota self-charging hybrid electric drivers to track and promote the amount of time they spend driving with zero emissions on their daily journeys. As the leading brand for reputation in Ireland RepTrak 2022, Toyota believes that the competition is a novel way to communicate the zero emissions credentials of its hybrid range to environmentally conscious drivers who are thinking about switching from diesel to a low emission alternative.
Every Toyota hybrid is capable of driving in zero emissions ‘EV mode’ for a percentage of each journey. When the EV Mode light is illuminated, it signifies that the car is operating without the assistance of fossil fuel, relying only on the hybrid battery to drive. The latest generation of C-HR, Corolla, Yaris and Yaris Cross hybrid models all feature an EV Percentage Drive Time reading on the dashboard at the end of each journey, making it easy for drivers to track the percentage of time they spend driving with zero emissions.
From today, 25th May, drivers of these aforementioned Toyota models need only share a photo of their EV Percentage Drive Time dashboard score after a journey, tag @Toyota_Ireland on their Instagram channel and use the dedicated hashtag #HybridNation to be in with a chance to win a trip to Marlfield House, Gorey, Co. Wexford. The first winner of the competition will be announced on the 25th July.
