Toyota Ireland Launches the 15th “Toyota Dream Car Art Contest”

Young Irish artists of all backgrounds and abilities aged 15 and under can showcase their skills to be in with a chance to win a trip to Japan

From November 2021 to February 2022, Toyota Ireland will hold the “Toyota Dream Car Art Contest,” which invites children of all abilities and from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. Every great idea was born in the glimmer of a dream, and we at Toyota hope that this activity will help nurture the creativity of the next generation of great inventors, thinkers, and dreamers.

The contest is comprised of the National Contest and the World Contest. The “National Contest” will be held in each participating country from August 2021 to February 2022. Winners of this contest will be entered as representatives of their own country into the “World Contest,” to be held in Japan.

At Toyota Ireland, we believe that inclusivity is important above everything else. That is why for our Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, we would like children of all backgrounds and abilities to participate in this showcase of creativity and imagination. The national competition will see nine Irish finalists awarded a range of prizes at the official awards ceremony in Dublin in March 2022, and the winning entries will then go on to compete against international finalists for a chance to win a once in a lifetime trip to Japan.

Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been conducted as part of Toyota’s social contribution initiatives. In 2021 alone, there were about 1,193,000 entries from 75 countries and regions around the globe.

Commenting on the announcement, Michael Gaynor, Toyota Ireland Marketing Director said, “We’re so excited to welcome back the annual Toyota Dream Car Art Contest and are looking forward to seeing this year’s entries from children of all abilities around Ireland. We are continually blown away by the artistic talent and boundless imagination that shines through in the entries we receive each year and are so thankful for the dedication of the children, parents and teachers who get involved in this inspiring programme.”
