Mirai: The fuel cell future, today

The show highlights continue with the revolutionary Mirai. The fuel cell- powered Toyota has now hit the roads of selected countries as it embarks on a new journey of innovation, much like Prius did when it pioneered Hybrid technology nearly 20 years ago.

Being a true concept car, our designers had free reign to display the beauty of components such as the radiator, steering system, brakes, fuel tanks and front suspension – normally hidden from view – on the exterior. Incorporating an innovative three-seat cabin layout that places the driver at the heart of the action, the KIKAI’s expansive all-round visibility and a smooth Hybrid system are certain to appeal to those who desire an immersive driving experience!

At the forefront of a new age of hydrogen-powered cars, the Mirai’s enabling us to gather invaluable fuel cell knowledge while understanding how our customers live with this new motoring experience. Allowing them to enjoy approximately 500km of emission-free driving, short 3- to 5-minute refuelling and only water from its tailpipe, there’s no doubt the Mirai is bringing the future into the present.

Flexing its muscles on our stand, the all-new model not only looks more rugged, it’s now equipped to take on even sterner challenges thanks to an uprated chassis, a stronger cargo deck and a new suspension that will soak up the worst off-road conditions while cosseting you with SUV levels of comfort.

After the radical, the revealing, the revolutionary and the robust comes the recreational – the all-new PROACE VERSO debuting for those seeking comfortable, versatile and practical travel. Continuing in a long line of Toyota people carriers, the new PROACE VERSO has all the answers, should you be a business needing to transport people or a family escaping for a weekend of activities.

Inside, a new interior offers a welcome level of sophistication at the end of those tiring days. Durable, high-quality materials combine with a 7” touch-screen multimedia system and 4.2” colour TFT multi-information display to give you car-like levels of innovation, while the refreshed line-up of 2.4D-4D engines are cheaper to run, more refined and pack even more punch.
