Toyota iQ Wins New Car Magazine 2010 Car Of The Year
Double honours for Toyota with new car of the year awards for iQ and Prius
Toyota Ireland are delighted to announce that the Toyota iQ took top honours at the 2010 new car magazine awards. iQ, winner of the City Car category and overall winner, was not the only Toyota to feature in these prestigious awards as the third generation Prius won the accolade of Green Car of the Year.
The new car of the year winner, the Toyota iQ, radically solves the challenges of the city with inspirational design, groundbreaking innovation and intelligence in under 3 metres of length. The world’s smallest four-seat car reduces urban congestion, rising fuel costs and parking problems.
This award compliments other prestigious awards that the iQ has achieved including the topgear.com small car of the year 2008; and Japanese Car of the Year 2008.
The third generation Prius continues its leadership in environmentally friendly vehicles as winner of the Green Car of the Year. The world’s most advanced full hybrid, the Prius, delivers improved fuel economy of and co2 emission of just 89g co2/km – a figure unmatched by any other family car.
